junior digital media and cultural artist

As an international design firm, seventyF is active across the broadest fields of architecture and design. Our project portfolio covers every aspect of architecture and every typology, ranging from small to large-scale projects, research and theory. The atmosphere within our office is international, multidisciplinary and ambitious, but also open, non-hierarchical, team-based and friendly, with attention to personal well-being, knowledge development and career planning. While working in the international team on international projects, we believe that the relationship of architecture and culture is close, and their influence on eachother reciprocal. For our office in Almere,

we are looking for a Junior Digital Media and Cultural Artist / Architect

who wants to participate as a full team member, working on a handful of our projects, contributing creatively and through their work.

Type of tasks:

As a practice that has over 20 years of building experience, our knowledge and craftsmanship are strong pillars of our company. Every individual is regarded as equal, as we ask your opinion on how to improve the design. Therefore, we have opportunities to develop your personal interest within architectural processes. Your experience is highly valued, and we encourage you to adopt innovative thinking and an entrepreneurial attitude. At seventyF, you will have several responsibilities during the concept-, sketch-, and design development processes. Here you will experience envisioning, diagrams, creating, detailing and realizing complex assignments by transferring them into practice. Further on, you will work on a specific part of the project that allows you to explore new and innovative ways of digitally visualising the concept of the project in an appropriate cultural narrative. This means conceptualizing and creating architectural visualizations and strategically placing them on  social media or any other media platforms. Lastly, with your experience and/or education from the cultural sector, you will contribute to architectural projects from a social-cultural perspective. Specifically how future projects engage with the clients over digital platforms and how a realized project engages with the socio-urban environment. Experimentation and innovation in how our studio and our projects engage with the clients and community is highly valued.

Your Impact:

During your daily work, you will be part of a team that builds knowledge, undertakes research, and applies architecture and design skills in order to future-proof new projects in new cultural environments. You will be part of a team in which you will provide your knowledge and skills for future-proof of new projects and their cultural impact of the designed atmosphere on potential clients. We believe that the key to ‘future-proofing the future’ is knowledge. Therefore, we continuously coach you to understand the most up to date trends and practices in architecture, seen as a part of the social structure. Our mission is to produce user-centric designs that are adaptive, resilient and future-proof, and every employee should embrace these aspects in their work.
